Costumes

Dance costumes, an important and vibrant element for Ukrainian ensembles, often leave a lasting impression on the memories of audiences. These colourful costumes, representative of the various regions in Ukraine, are just as elaborate and varied as the intricate, gracefully choreographed footwork and acrobatic feats accomplished during a performance.

Fancy footwork, artistic expression, grace of performance and colourful and elaborate costumes add to the technical beauty of a stage performance.

The School's Artistic Director, Lesia Movchan, is highly talented and gifted in the area of costume design. Her creative inspirations fuel the costume design and production process. Although a hectic and detailed process, the Artistic Directors work hard to ensure that appropriate costumes are provided.

Special thanks to Inna Kyrylenko and Olia Hlynna for their invaluable assitance in costume sewing. Several individuals have volunteered their time and skills to help create the School's breathtaking array of costumes.
